MAKING AN E BOOK COVER USING MICROSOFT POWER POINT

While there are so many software both paid and free for making e book cover, the use of Microsoft power point stands out among them. Personally I have created more than five e book covers using Microsoft power point. This is the reason am sharing with you the various steps in making e book cover using power point

These are the few steps involved

1) Open and loads your power point from the programs list

2) By default, a blank page in a landscape position will appear

3) Select the design tab, then select the slide orientation and choose the portrait position. This will change the slide to a long and thinner

4) type in the title of your e book in the text box on the  slide. Highlight the text, right click and click on font if you wish to change the text color

5) Type in the author’s name into the second text box and repeat the above step if you wish to change the text color

6) To change the background color, right click on the slide itself, then chose format background where you will be able to choose different color depending on your choice, choose apply to all and then click the close button

7) Then click on the text box to reposition your title and the author’s name

8) To insert your photo or image, click on the insert tab at the top right corner of the slide and select picture, then select the folder containing the picture to insert

9) Drag the image around until it properly positioned and re-sized to your taste

10) Save your work as power point JPEG file and your e book cover is ready in few minutes
