HOW TO CREATE MANUAL CONFIGURATION FOR INTERNET MODEM

It is no longer news  most 3G internet modem has the capacity to access  different network Sims,but most network providers always lock their  modem in order to keep their faithful customers.

With the aid of a modem unlockersuch locked modem can be unlocked in order for them to access different network Sims.

After a modem is unlocked ,it is be able to access different Sims of various networks.But to do that,one need to create am access point for the particular network to be used on the modem.

To create an access point for  mtn Sim on a glo net pro modem, the following simply steps will do

1.open the user interface

2.click on Tool

3.click on PROFILE MANAGEMENT

4.Then click on ADD which will open up  this window

5.On the profile box,type any name there

6.input *99# in the dial up number if in Nigeria

7.Then tick SAVE USER NAME AND PASSWORD

8.Now enter your network user name and password or  you may as well leave it blank depending on the network

9.Tick USE THE FOLLOWING APN NAME and enter your network APN

10. Click yes to save

APN FOR GLO, MTN,AIRTEL AND ETISALAT

 MTN = web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
- Airtel = internet.ng.airtel.com
- Etisalat = etisalat
- Glo = gloflat

In some cases you may need the advance DNS setting,if needed,click on USE THE FOLLOWING DNS ADDRESS  to enter your primary and secondary DNS

 To use you new Access point,sett it as the default

YOU HAVE NOW SUCESSFULLY CREATED A NEW ACCESS POINT
