HOW TO HIDE FACEBOOK STATUS UPDATES FROM FRIENDS WITHOUT UNFRIENDING THEM

In one of my previous post,I wrote on how to delete Facebook friends and since then I have been receiving messages from some of my friends on Facebook asking me if there is any way they can hide their status update from some selected friends. My reply to the has always been  useful to them and also appreciated by them.So  today I deemed it fit to share with you the simple  procedure on how to hide your Facebook status update from some selected friends.

There are several reasons why you may want to hide your facebook status update.There may be somethings you wish to convey to your friends which you don’t want your parents to see,or may be a business update you only want your business associates to see.But what ever your reason may be,here is a simple way to hide your facebook status update from friends without  having to delete/unfriend them

First log in to your facebook account and type your update as usual.

Click on the small icon next to the share/post button.

From the drop down menu you will see several sharing options.

 Click on custom.

From the resulting window, click on  specific people.Type in the name of the friends you want to make your update visible to.When you start typing in the names of your friends,its auto completes the names making it easier for you.

Alternatively type in the names of your friends you want to hide your update from on the hide this form box.

Finally click save to save your setting and you are done.
